The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) is looking for talented and skilled individuals to join our dynamic team. Our team is located at 73 Leikin Drive in Ottawa, Ontario (Barrhaven), in a modern building with plenty of free parking, convenient access to bus routes immediately outside of the building, free use of a gym, and a cafeteria onsite.

*The RCMP has adopted a common hybrid work model that aligns with the Federal Public Sector, with all staff working onsite a minimum of 3 days per week or 60% of their regular schedule. Depending on the role, some positions require full-time on-site presence, while others allow for a potential mix of onsite and telework to leverage the best of both in-person and virtual work. Flexible arrangements may be discussed during the hiring process, depending on position-specific operational requirements.

Intent of the process

The immediate need is to staff three position on an indeterminate basis, with a linguistic profile of Bilingual Imperative (CBC/CBC) and enhanced reliability, secret or top secret security clearance depending on the position to be staffed.

A pool of candidates may be established and may be used to staff similar positions within the RCMP in the National Capital Region on an indeterminate or specified period (including term, acting, or assignment) basis, with various linguistic profiles and various RCMP security clearances.

Should a Civilian Member (CM) be found qualified and selected for appointment, the appointment will not result in a change of status to the Public Service (PS) category for the CM

EDUCATION
A secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE
E1: Significant* experience in managing human and financial resources.
E2: Experience developing and maintaining collaborative relationships with internal and/or external stakeholders, other levels of government, or partners (e.g. indigenous communities)
E3: Experience developing proposals, reports, presentations or briefing material intended for various audiences including clients and senior management**
E4: Significant* experience in program or project management which includes strategic and operational planning & reporting on program/project performance.
E5: Significant* experience in providing operational and strategic advice to senior management** or clients which includes identifying options and recommending solutions.

* Significant experience is defined as the depth, breadth and scope of a minimum three years of experience with having performed a broad range of related complex activities that would normally be associated with performing the duties as a key part of your work. (Complex activity refers to dealing with information that is horizontal, broad and strategic, high profile and sensitive in nature)
** Senior Management is defined as Director level or equivalent level and higher.

Willingness and ability to work overtime occasionally and on short notice.
