The successful candidate will be responsible for the technical operations of the Climate Change-Greenhouse Gas Mitigation Program.
The successful candidate will perform a variety of duties in the field and laboratory, as well as administrative duties, and computer work.
Under the direction of the Program Lead, the duties may include, but are not limited to: preparing field plots, site set-up, equipment construction and installation, seeding, fertilizer application, site maintenance at research sites, sampling preparation, sampling (i.e. greenhouse gases, water, soil, plant, environmental parameters, etc.), analyzing samples using laboratory equipment (i.e. gas chromatography), trouble-shooting, downloading data, recording data, data management, and working closely with summer and graduate students.
Organizational skills, attention to detail, and adaptability are vital for this position.
This is an on-site position where day-to-day duties will take place at AAFC in Bible Hill, NS and Dalhousie University, Faculty of Agriculture, Bible Hill, NS.
This will include both field and lab work.
Field responsibilities represent 60% of the work load, while laboratory, administration and computer work will represent the remainder.
Office space will be assigned as well.

Education:
