Education:
Graduation with a degree from a recognized university or college or an acceptable combination of education, training and experience.
Experience:
• E1:Experience in planning, developing, implementing and monitoring programs in a public services related field.
• E2: Experience in supervising people which may include but not limited to scheduling and assigning work teams, monitoring work progress and quality, training and performance management.
Bilingual - Imperative (BBB/BBB)
Parks Canada, as required by the Official Languages Act, provides services to visitors in English and French. The Visitor Experience Team Lead position must obtain intermediate level (BBB) evaluation results in reading, writing and speaking in their second language (English or French) prior to hiring.

Asset Education:

• Experience in collecting, controlling and handling cash;
• Experience working in a cultural heritage/heritage protection setting;
• Experience in use and handling of black powder in an interpretive setting.
Asset Knowledge:
• Knowledge of current trends in tourism and visitor experience;
Operational Requirements:
The position requires the incumbent to:
• Be exposed to variable weather conditions when moving between facilities and working outdoors
• Be exposed to stress when responding to fluctuating, unpredictable visitor demands and requirements
• Wear a Parks Canada uniform and abide uniform policy
• Willingness to obtain and maintain First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification, Occupational Health and Safety Training, Workplace Hazardous Material Information System training and Quality Visitor Experience Training
• Travel for work and/or training purposes
• Willingness to work irregular hours, overtime, weekends and/or statutory holidays and provincial/territorial holidays, when required.
Reliability Status security clearance
• Must possess and maintain a valid Class 05 driver’s license
