The Director, Communications, reporting to the Vice-President, Policy and Communications, is accountable for the development and implementation of external communications programs, internal communications and electronic communications, aimed at promoting understanding of the policies, priorities, plans and programs of FedNor; responsible for advising and providing expert advice on communications to the Minister’s Office, Vice-President, the President and senior management of the agency; to propose guidelines for the agency, taking into account its mission, mandate, needs and those of its external and internal clientele; develop and implement communication strategies and plans covering external, internal and electronic communications.

EDUCATION:
Graduation with a degree* from a recognized post-secondary institution with specialization in communications or a related field, such as journalism, political science, public administration, marketing, sociology, economic development or government affairs.

EXPERIENCE:
E1 –*Significant experience in leading the development and management of strategic and operational plans.
E2-*Significant experience in developing one or more of communications plans, employee engagement plans, digital strategies and social media communications for external and internal audiences.
E3 – *Significant experience in providing strategic advice and recommendations to senior management on **complex and ***horizontal and communications issues.
