This activity is part of a 3-year project by the Geological Survey of Canada launched in 2024 to compile and understand the glacial history of continental Nunavut. The research will be based on fieldwork (sediment and bedrock sampling) and spatial analysis (ArcGIS) to help answer key questions related to the age, geometry and development of the glacial lakes that inundated the low-lying terrains of the Central Kivalliq region during the last deglaciation.
