As a Human Resources Advisor within Riding Mountain Field Unit, you will:
• Provide operational advice and guidance to employees, supervisors and managers on HR issues, processes and requirements
• Deliver human resources services in a variety of disciplines including resourcing, classification and organization, disability management and labour relations
• Develop business/work tools, such as rating guides for resourcing, and other tools to support human resources activities and services
Riding Mountain National Park is located in Treaty 2 Territory, the Anishinabe homelands, where we work with the Coalition of First Nations with Interests in Riding Mountain National Park to foster positive and collaborative relationships to protect and present the natural and cultural heritage for all Canadians. Riding Mountain National Park located approximately 3.5 hours north west of Winnipeg, and protects 3,000 square kilometers, of wilderness and is home to a staggering diversity of living things.
Approximately 350,000 of visitors come to Riding Mountain National Park throughout the entire year. Our dynamic and diverse staff work hard to provide our visitors with a memorable experience; whether they prefer to stay in the townsite of Wasagaming to shop and explore or immerse themselves in nature on our pristine trails and backcountry campsites. We provide our visitors with unique and adventurous experiences in every season so there is always a reason for them to visit the park.
This process will be used to staff one indeterminate (permanent) full-time position on-location in Riding Mountain National Park.
This process may also be used to create a list of qualified candidates to staff similar positions with various tenures, security levels, linguistic requirements, or work locations.

EDUCATION (In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications):
• Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in human resources management, labour or industrial relations, psychology, public or business administration, organizational development, education sciences, social sciences, sociology, or in any other field relevant to the work to be performed;
OR
• Certification as Chartered Professionals in Human Resources;
OR
• Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable experience in human resources.
OR
• An acceptable combination of education, training and experience, that is comparable to a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with specialization relevant to the work to be performed, may serve as an alternative to meet the minimum education standard.
Grandparenting Clause:
Indeterminate and term incumbents of positions in the PE group in Parks Canada Agency and the Public Service on or before October 3, 2008, and who do not possess the education level prescribed above, are deemed to meet the minimum education standard based on their education, training and/or experience.
