The Alberta RCMP’s Community Safety & Well Being Branch is committed to improving community safety and outreach to the community. The Branch’s Social Engagement Section has a new opportunity for a 1. District Crime Prevention Partnership Liaison and 2. District Alternative Justice Coordinator. Reporting to the Manager of Social Engagement, the position is responsible for supporting the Crime Reduction Strategy within their District by building and maintaining partnerships and liaising between the RCMP, other levels of government, community organizations and consultative groups involved in collaborative arrangements and referrals in specific cases where criminal justice diversion partnerships may provide opportunities to reduce criminalization and improve community safety outcomes.

– Experience in working with community and/or government agencies

– Experience working with community programs for crime prevention, restorative justice, diversion, mental health, and/or social supports.
