Duties

Join us in a pivotal role where your skillset will be leveraged in providing expert engineering guidance on major projects, interpreting regulations, and leading technical studies within the comprehensive framework of the real property life cycle for Department of National Defense infrastructure. Additionally, you will be applying project management practices to plan and implement technical projects, analyzing business cases, managing budgets, and monitoring project progress. Moreover, you would be responsible for supervising and coordinating the work of staff and teams involved with the engineering projects. ↪One (1) English Essential, ENG-04 Lead Engineer in Kingston, Ontario
↪One (1) French Essential, ENG-04 Asset Engineer Manager in Montreal, Quebec
↪One (1) English Essential, ENG-05 Engineering Manager in Western Canada

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

EDUCATION
Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in mechanical engineering, civil engineering, electrical engineering, aeronautical engineering, geological engineering, naval, or some other engineering specialty relevant to the duties of the position.

Degree equivalency

OCCUPATIONAL CERTIFICATION
Eligibility for certification as a professional engineer in Canada with specialization in an engineering specialty relevant to the position.

EXPERIENCE
All Streams
EX1 Experience in planning maintenance and construction projects
EX2 Experience providing analysis, recommendations or advice related to integrated engineering services to decision makers, senior management, project managers and project teams.
EX3 Experience preparing reports, presentations, briefing notes and correspondence for senior management.

Stream 2 (ENG-05)
EX4 Experience in managing construction program financial, materiel and human resources.
EX5 Experience in business case analysis
EX6 Experience in planning and implementing process improvement

Asset Education

AE1 Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification from the Project Management Institute.

AE2 Hold a licence and be a member in good standing in one of the provincial Professional Engineering Associations.

Degree equivalency

Asset Experience
AE1 Experience in SAP PS (Project Systems) Module.

AE2 Experience in Real Property project management.

AE3 Experience in development and implementation of Asset Management Plans.

AE4 Experience in development and delivery of sustainable infrastructure design, construction or maintenance.
