As a member of the IMIT Sector’s senior management team, your role will be to provide executive and operational leadership and strategic direction to the Centre’s IT infrastructure services and systems. The Manager will be responsible for:
► Overseeing multi-disciplinary staff, and driving the long-term plans and strategies relating to development, operationalization, monitoring and support of the Centre’s Operations, IT infrastructure services and systems.
► The provision of excellent IM/IT Help Desk client services, as well as Cyber Security, technical security services and cyber response capability, to support the needs of Centre clients and stakeholders
► Ensuring alignment between the Agency’s IT operational strategic direction, government policies and Centre modernization objectives.
► Managing the unit’s human, financial and materiel resources with probity and transparency, establishing a work environment that is reflective of Public Service and Centre values in areas of equity, diversity and inclusion, while also promoting a culture of innovation, continuous learning/development and respect for others.

🎓 EDUCATION
Graduation from a two-year program of study from a recognized post-secondary institution (ex. college, university) with acceptable specialization in computer science, information technology, information management or another specialty relevant to the position to be staffed.

EX1. Extensive* and recent** experience leading an organizational IT Security and/or IT CyberSecurity program, including IT security architecture, IT security strategies and plans, risk management and mitigation, IT security configuration, IT continuity planning, as well as IT security standards.
EX2. Experience managing an enterprise-level IT Service Desk/IT Help Desk including oversight and direction providing tiered technical support services and expertise to clients in relation to hardware, software, applications, connectivity and other requests for support, as well as in the management of technical services relating to IT incidents and problem resolution.
EX3. Extensive* and recent** experience leading, managing and inspiring multidisciplinary teams.
EX4. Experience in establishing and ensuring the effectiveness of processes and tools in the continued monitoring and assessment of an enterprise IT infrastructure environment.
EX5. Experience managing human and financial resources.
EX6. Experience establishing and maintaining effective collaborative business relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
*Extensive experience is defined as having performed those duties on a regular basis two (2) years or more within the last five (5) years.

Top Secret security clearance - You must be a Canadian Citizen and eligible for a Top Secret security clearance to FINTRAC's standards.
FINTRAC’s process includes a suitability interview, a credit and financial check, fingerprinting, a background investigation covering at least the last 10 years, as well as other assessments necessary to determine a candidate’s suitability for work at FINTRAC.
Candidates must be able to produce sufficient records to any period of time spent outside of Canada and may be subject to further assessment.
As needed, candidates may be required to submit security documentation and may be subject to security investigations at any phase of the selection process.
