The Senior Manager is accountable for the management of the day-to-day operations of the Armament Management, Fleet Management and Logistics Support (Transportation and Event Support) programs and their associated frameworks. The Senior Manager is also responsible to ensure continuous improvement of the programs’ framework and operation by gathering metrics, analyzing performance, reviewing, and proposing solutions and/or opportunities.
The Readiness and Logistic Support program is composed of two (2) units: Armament and Materiel Readiness unit and the Fleet Management and Materiel Handling unit, and manages the following roles: Armourers, Drivers and Materiel handlers, Fleet and Transportation Coordinators. The position is also part of the Event Logistics’ Support coordination and execution.
The Parliamentary Protective Service (PPS) is a separate and distinct organization and is not subject to the Public Service Employment Act. PPS has its own classification, compensation system and staffing regime. Persons appointed to PPS continue to be part of the federal government and will receive the public service pension plan and public service insurance benefits plan.

E4: Significant** experience managing financial**** resources.
DEFINITIONS:
*Recent means within the last five (5) years.
**Significant is defined as the depth and breadth of experience normally associated with having performed a broad range of complex activities related to this task, which are acquired on a full-time basis over two (2) years.
***Experience managing human resources is defined as clearly demonstrating that you have supervised staff, assigned work and managed a work unit. You must indicate the number of staff that you have supervised. This experience is normally acquired over a period of a minimum of one (1) year.
**** Financial Resources: a combination of monitoring and making recommendations for financial resources (such as budget planning/forecasting, establishing and implementing contracts, forecasting, and reporting) as well as authorizing financial transactions.

AE1: Recent* experience overseeing vehicle fleet management or materiel handling activities (such as: coordinating transportation).
