Intent of the process

A qualified pool of candidates may be established from this process to staff identical or similar positions within the Department of Public Services and Procurement Canada in Winnipeg, Regina, Calgary and Edmonton with various tenures (Indeterminate, Acting, Term, Deployment, Assignment, Secondment).

The immediate intent of this process is to staff one indeterminate position located in Winnipeg, Regina, Calgary or Edmonton.

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

Education:
- Graduation with a diploma in interior design or architectural technology from a recognized college.

Degree equivalency

Experience:
- *Experience working with a multidisciplinary team in the delivery of commercial office fit-up and/or accommodation projects;
-*Experience in furniture selection, specifications and procurement for commercial office fit up and/or accommodation projects;
- *Experience providing strategic advice and project delivery recommendations related to commercial office furniture.

*Experience is defined in terms of both depth and breadth of experience that is normally acquired based on the performance of activities in a wide range of situations over an extended period of five (5) years. Candidates must clearly demonstrate their roles and responsibilities pertaining to this experience.

If you possess any of the following, your application must also clearly explain how you meet it (other qualifications)

- Graduation with a degree in interior design from a recognized post-secondary institution

Degree equivalency

- LEED® professional accreditation

- Experience in providing furniture assessments and/or furniture inventories;
- Experience in providing feasibility studies/options analysis and/or conceptual planning at the pre-planning stages;
- Experience in quality control and coordination of external resources (e.g. consultants, suppliers and others) in interior design;
- Experience using computer assisted drawing software (e.g. AutoCAD).

Operational Requirements:
- Willingness and ability to travel;
- Willingness and ability to work overtime.

Candidates must meet the essential qualifications to be appointed to a position.

Candidates may be required to meet the asset qualifications or the organizational needs, depending on the requirements of the specific position being staffed.

Public service employees found qualified in this process may be considered for acting, assignment, deployment or secondment.
