The position holder works in the Visitor Experience team. He/she participates in the planning and development of interpretive programs and activities to offer visitors opportunities to discover and appreciate the sites administered by Parks Canada bordering the Saguenay─St. Lawrence Marine Park. In addition, he helps welcome visitors and may lead certain activities or guided tours. In addition to providing services to visitors, the person has supervisory responsibilities: he/she participates in the training and supervision of guide-interpreters as well as visitor services and cleaning staff, in addition to overseeing occupational health and safety and team cohesion.
Parks Canada Agency is a federal agency responsible for protecting and presenting Canada’s outstanding natural and cultural resources through a system of national parks, national marine conservation areas and national historic sites in all regions of the country.
The Saguenay–St. Lawrence Field Unit is responsible for co-managing the Saguenay–St. Lawrence Marine Park, located on the shores of the Saguenay Fjord.
