About the position
Work environment📝Please note this position is located at the Cold Lake Detachment in Cold Lake, Alberta and there will be a requirement for presence in the office 5 days per week.
Detachment Services Supervisor positions require an on-site presence and do not allow teleworking.
Intent of the process
This process will initially be used to staff one (1) position on an indeterminate basis and create a pool of qualified candidates. This pool of qualified candidates may be used to staff similar positions with various tenures.
Should a Civilian Member (CM) be found qualified and selected for appointment, the appointment will not result in a change of status to the Public Service (PS) category for the CM. Information regarding the CM appointment will be sent to all applicable candidates who are within the area of selection and participated in the advertised process

Operational Requirements
Willingness and ability to work in a busy police environment, including exposure to unsettling and/or graphic material.
Willingness and ability to work overtime as required.
Willingness and ability to travel for work and/or training purposes using various modes of transportation.
Willingness and ability to maintain a valid class 5 driver's license

Experience providing administrative support services such as ordering office supplies, scheduling, assisting the public or assigning duties
Experience providing services to internal and external clients via telephone, in person and in writing
Experience providing advice and/or recommendations on administrative practices

Experience maintaining a law enforcement database such as CPIC and/or PROS.
Experience providing administrative, financial and/or operational support in a police environment.
