Duties
CUSTODIAN
Key Activities:
- Providing diversified cleaning service to specific buildings and/or areas including operating industrial janitorial equipment
- Removal of ice/snow/lead/garbage and recycling
- Relamping light fixtures
- Performing minor maintenance and minor service to janitorial equipment.

Intent of the process
Should a Civilian Member (CM) be found qualified and selected for appointment, the appointment will not result in a change of status to the Public Service (PS) category for the CM.
A pool of qualified candidates will be created and used to staff indeterminate, term, full-time and part-time positions.

Successful candidates will require a valid RCMP security clearance prior to appointment and throughout the tenure of their employment. The process to obtain an RCMP security clearance may involve, but is not limited to, a security/reliability interview, a field investigation regarding matters of criminal activity, verification of credit/financial status, reference checks, education, employment history, online activities, alcohol and/or drug use, etc., and may require certain residency requirements.

The successful candidate will be required to provide original documentation of proof of Canadian Citizenship or permanent resident status prior to appointment. Other candidates may also be asked to provide this documentation at various stages in the selection process. The following documents will be accepted as proof: Provincial or territorial birth certificate; Naturalization certificates (issued prior to Jan. 1, 1947); Registration of Birth Abroad certificates (issued between Jan. 1, 1947 and Feb. 14, 1977); Certificates of Retention; Citizenship certificates; Permanent resident card.
Testing/interviews will be conducted at the location of the employer's choice.
Written communication will be assessed throughout the application, including screening questions and resume. Should the selection committee suspect the use of generative artificial intelligence, your candidacy may be subject to immediate disqualification.
Candidates may be required to pay for all assessment and travel expenses.
Successful applicant is required to work in Regina, Saskatchewan. Telework or alternate work locations will not be an option.

Conditions of employment

Security clearance: Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) Enhanced Reliability Status
Available to work various hours of work as operationally required which may include weekdays, weekends, holidays or nights
Lifting and carrying heavy objects (maximum of 20 kg/44 lbs) while practicing proper safety procedures
Using and climbing ladders (maximum of 10 feet) while practicing proper safety procedures
Cleaning and disinfecting areas during outbreak situations

Operational Requirements

Willing and able to be flexible when faced with work schedule changes
Willing and able to successfully complete online training/courses
