Intent of the process
A pool of partially or essentially qualified candidates may be established through this process and used to staff identical or similar positions with various employment tenures (temporary and permanent), language profiles, operational requirements, and conditions of employment at the Department of National Defence.
The intent of this process is to fill one (1) position on an indeterminate (permanent) basis in Victoria, BC; (1) in Borden, ON, (1) in Kingston, (1) in Petawawa, ON and (1) in Trenton, ON.

COE2: Must possess and maintain a Red Seal Certification in Painting.
COE3: Must possess and maintain a valid, non-graduated, and unrestricted provincial or territorial Class 5 driver's license.
COE4: Current and acceptable driver’s abstract
COE5: Eligibility and willingness to obtain and maintain a Departmental driver’s license (DND 404).
COE6: Strict adherence to the Department of National Defence and Canadian Forces Code of Values and Ethics, Values and Ethics Code for the Public Sector,
Directive on Conflict of Interest, and Defence Administrative Orders and Directives (DAOD) 7021-1, Conflict of Interest.
Other qualifications may be required relevant to the position being staffed. You may be contacted and asked to submit information or to be further assessed.

Operational Requirements

OR1: Must be capable of heavy lifting.
OR2: Must be willing to wear and/or utilize Personal Protective Equipment in compliance with safety regulations.

OCCUPATIONAL CERTIFICATION
OC1. Possession of a valid Inter-provincial Red Seal Certificate in Painting.

EXPERIENCE
EX1. Experience in interior and exterior painting, such as preparing surfaces to receive paint, application of residential and industrial coatings, drywalling, touching up signs and making temporary signs.
EX2. Experience in using and maintaining a range of tools and equipment related to the Painting trade such as brushes, rollers, sprayers, shop tools, portable power tools and equipment.
