The Correctional Service of Canada (CSC) is responsible for managing approximately 1,850 buildings and more than 6,200 hectares of land across the country. The Technical Services and Facilities team provides essential maintenance, repair, and replacement services for real property assets, systems, and equipment, supported by a skilled workforce representing a wide range of trades. The positions demand specific skills in maintenance and facility management, based to the needs of the institutional environments.
𝐊𝐄𝐘 𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐏𝐎𝐍𝐒𝐈𝐁𝐈𝐋𝐈𝐓𝐈𝐄𝐒: As a Building Services Technician with the Facilities Management and Technical Services team, you will participate in the installation, inspection, and maintenance of building components, such as heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), plumbing, and electrical systems. You will help identify issues, perform basic repairs, and carry out general maintenance of equipment, including certain motorized equipment. You will also be responsible for preventive maintenance and repairs, including ordering replacement parts and materials.

➧ Must be willing and able to work and lift tools, equipment and objects weighing at least 50 lbs when required (candidates may be required to pass a physical test in relation to this condition).
➧ Must possess and maintain a valid provincial driver’s license.

Operational Requirements

➧ Willingness to work occasionally work evenings, weekends, and/or holidays
➧ Willingness to work overtime, in shifts, or be on call
➧ Willingness to work with inmates and provide training as needed
