⚓The Canadian Coast Guard is a special operating agency within the Department of National Defence. We work to ensure the safety of mariners in Canadian waters and protect Canada’s marine environment.

⚓Canadian Coast Guard Academy
We offer specialized marine training to develop future Coast Guard officers and provide ongoing training for Canadian Coast Guard (CCG) personnel. Learn the skills to save lives, safeguard marine life, and protect the environment on Canada’s waters.
Intent of the process
The intent of this process is to fill two (2) positions on an indeterminate (permanent) basis in Sydney, Nova Scotia.
🔷This is an inventory process, and candidates will be assessed continuously during this period. Please apply before 31 July 2026 to be assessed for the immediate needs.
🔷Please note that candidates will only be assessed once, and re-applications to the inventory will not be considered.
🔷A pool of partially or essentially qualified candidates may be established through this process and used to staff identical or similar positions with various employment tenures (temporary and permanent), language profiles, operational requirements, and conditions of employment at the Department of National Defence.
