About the position

Duties
CR-05 Detachment Services Assistant: Provides administrative, financial, and operational support services for police officers and other employees at a Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) detachment. Provides front counter and telephone assistance, services and information to the general public.
La Ronge is classified as an Isolated Post. As such, the successful candidate must meet all the conditions under the Isolated Posts and Government Housing Directive prior to appointment. In addition, the successful candidate will be entitled to an Isolated Post Allowance. Intent of the process
Should a Civilian Member (CM) be found qualified and selected for appointment, the appointment will not result in a change of status to the Public Service (PS) category for the CM.
Anticipatory staffing - A pool of qualified candidates will be created.

Successful candidates will require a valid RCMP security clearance prior to appointment and throughout the tenure of their employment. The process to obtain an RCMP security clearance may involve, but is not limited to, a security/reliability interview, a field investigation regarding matters of criminal activity, verification of credit/financial status, reference checks, education, employment history, online activities, alcohol and/or drug use, etc., and may require certain residency requirements.

Candidates will be required to show original proof of education. Candidates with foreign credentials must provide proof of Canadian equivalency. Consult the Canadian Information Centre for International Credentials for further information at http://www.cicic.ca/.
The successful candidate will be required to provide original documentation of proof of Canadian Citizenship or permanent resident status prior to appointment. Other candidates may also be asked to provide this documentation at various stages in the selection process. The following documents will be accepted as proof: Provincial or territorial birth certificate; Naturalization certificates (issued prior to Jan. 1, 1947); Registration of Birth Abroad certificates (issued between Jan. 1, 1947 and Feb. 14, 1977); Certificates of Retention; Citizenship certificates; Permanent resident card.
Written communication will be assessed throughout the application, including screening questions and resume. Any use of generative artificial intelligence in the completion of your application is considered a violation of the assessment process. Should the selection committee suspect the use of generative artificial intelligence, your candidacy may be subject to immediate disqualification.
Successful applicant is required to work in La Ronge, Saskatchewan. Telework or alternate work locations will not be an option.

Possession of a valid driver's licence or the personal mobility to the extent normally associated with the possession of a valid driver's licence
