The Correctional Service of Canada (CSC) is responsible for managing approximately 1,850 buildings and more than 6,200 hectares of land across the country. The Technical Services and Facilities team provides essential maintenance, repair, and replacement services for real property assets, systems, and equipment, supported by a skilled workforce representing a wide range of trades. The positions demand specific skills in maintenance and facility management, based to the needs of the institutional environments.
𝐊𝐄𝐘 𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐏𝐎𝐍𝐒𝐈𝐁𝐈𝐋𝐈𝐓𝐈𝐄𝐒: The role involves providing general maintenance (corrective and preventive), and, in some institutions, minor service of vehicles and/or grounds keeping services. This can embrace a range of specific tasks, including providing services to support maintenance shops, grounds, labor, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, metal, welding, paint, masonry, service plant, composter and garage (which are considered maintenance activities or part of the maintenance shop) for a CSC institution, and for providing the necessary training to offenders.
