Intent of the process
The intent of this process is to staff one (1) EL-05 position on an indeterminate (permanent) basis in Cold Lake, Alberta. A pool of partially or essentially qualified candidates may be established through this process and may be used to staff identical or similar positions at the Department of National Defence.

▶ COE2. Full-time on-site presence (up to five days per week) based on operational requirements.

Operational Requirements

▶OR1. Willing and able to travel to trial sites and to remote field sites for extended periods of time.
▶OR2. Willing and able to obtain and retain a DND 404 driving permit.

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION
▶ ED1: The minimum standard is:
• A secondary school diploma; and
• Completion of an acceptable training program in electronics technology or the employer-approved alternative.
The employer-approved alternative is as follows:
• An acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
Note:
1. Normally, an acceptable training program in electronics technology involves the completion of two to three years of post-secondary study in this subject.

EXPERIENCE
▶EX1. Experience with general concepts of metrology within electronics calibration
▶EX2. Experience working in a maintenance/repair shop, laboratory or test facility with a focus on electronics.
▶EX3. Experience in preparing documentation such as describing development, test plans, test results and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
