Work environmentEVERYONE IS WELCOME
Justice Canada is dedicated to building an inclusive workforce with a diversity of experience, perspectives, and backgrounds that represents Canada now and in the future. We are passionate about fostering a workplace where all people feel welcome, can reach their full potential, and contribute their unique perspectives and experience to the success of the team.
WHY CHOOSE THE DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE CANADA?
We are an organization that is focused on its people. To that end, we support our staff with competitive salaries and benefits, ongoing training, flexible work arrangements and a culture of respect and continuous improvement. We also foster and promote diversity and inclusion by implementing a culture of accessibility with the help of five (5) advisory committees on employment equity, including the 2SLGBTQIA+ and our Anti-Racism and Anti-Discrimination Secretariat.
Justice employees are part of a proud tradition of providing legal services and advice to government that dates back 150 years. The work we do is complex, meaningful and rewarding.
Justice Canada is involved in virtually every area of law, across the country, and within some 40 federal departments and agencies. We are responsible for all litigation by or against the government, and support the Attorney General as the Chief Law Officer of the Crown.

Please note that it is not sufficient for applicants to simply state that they meet the criterion or list their current responsibilities or to direct to the resume. Rather, they must provide directly in the screening questions concrete examples that illustrate the activities they have actually performed and explain how these activities meet the requirements. Applicants who do not clearly demonstrate how they meet the essential criteria and that they possess the asset qualifications (education and experience) will be screened out.
