Intent of the process
This process is intended to fill one (1) indeterminate position located in Toronto. A pool of partially or fully qualified candidates may be established to staff similar or identical positions on an indeterminate or temporary basis at Public Services and Procurement Canada.

The courses for the specialization must be acceptable and must have been taken at a recognized post-secondary institution, but not necessarily within a degree program in the required specialization. The specialization may also be obtained through an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

1. *Significant experience in commercial, industrial or institutional real property valuation.
2. Experience in appraisal or market study review.
*Significant is defined as having performed the breadth and depth of a broad range of related activities, normally acquired over a period of approximately 5 years.

1. Experience as a fee appraiser.
2. Experience in estimating the market value of land including large comprehensive development sites, rural acreage parcels or special purpose sites such as water lots and conservation lands.
3. Experience in real property valuation for expropriation purposes.
4. Experience in testifying as an expert witness in the appraisal field.

Preference

Preference will be given to veterans first, followed by Canadian citizens and permanent residents, with the exception of jobs located in Nunavut or Yukon.
