Duties- Undertakes formal and on-the-job training (OJT) within a formal developmental program to gain technical knowledge and experience required for progression to the next level.
- Maintains, installs, modifies and repairs a variety of electronic equipment and systems on ships and in land based facilities in support of the Coast Guard clients in accordance with the manufacturers' manuals and national standards, policies and guidelines.
- Provides technical support for computer networks on ships and client operational based networks as well as stand alone computers on land and ship.
Since it's an entry level developmental position, the work is directed and monitored by supervisors and/or fully qualified technicians.
