Duties
- Developing, managing and delivering programs and services; promoting programs and service delivery.
- Developing a critical knowledge of issues, trends and other related programs and services.
- Providing advice on program-related issues, trends and strategic directions to internal and external clients and other stakeholders.
- Contributing to the development of program-related policies, procedures and guidelines; coordinating the implementation of policies, procedures and guidelines.
- Initiating and maintaining collaborative relationships with representatives of other departments and other levels of government.
- Leading project teams, working groups and committees.
Work environmentPositions are located in Whitehorse, Yukon Territory. If not already a resident in Whitehorse, YT, the selected candidate will have to relocate to Whitehorse.

Intent of the process
📢 The immediate intent of the process is to staff indeterminately one position at Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs Canada, in Whitehorse, Yukon Territory.
A pool of partially qualified candidates may be established, which could be used to staff temporary, and/or permanent positions, with similar qualifications, various linguistic profiles, various security requirements, and/or various tenures at Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs Canada, within the Yukon Region. Conditions of employment may vary according to the positions to be staffed.
Positions are located in Whitehorse, Yukon Territory. If not already a resident in Whitehorse, YT, the selected candidate will have to relocate to Whitehorse. The remote work is not possible. It is recommended to apply only if you are considering relocating.

ASSET EDUCATION
Successful completion of two years of a post-secondary education program, from a recognized post-secondary institution, with acceptable specialization in social science, social work, Indigenous studies or in any other field relevant to the work to be performed.

ASSET EXPERIENCE
- Experience working within or in collaboration with Indigenous governments or organizations.
- Experience delivering social programming, such as, but not limited to, child and family services, family violence prevention, or education programs.
- Experience in contributing to briefing and/or reporting materials.
