Intent of the process
The intent of this process is to staff a one-year term position in the Regional Treatment Centre.A pool of fully or partially qualified candidates may be established to staff similar positions with various tenures (such as indeterminate, term, casual) and with various linguistic profiles requirements.

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Willingness to travel frequently within a province or region.
Ability to work overtime on short notice or to work variable hours.
A valid driver's license.

EDUCATION
Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in social work.

EXPERIENCE
Experience in providing Social Work services to clients in mental health settings or correctional settings.
Experience working independently with minimal clinical supervision.
Experience working as part of an interdisciplinary team.

EDUCATION
Graduation with a Master's degree in Social Work from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in social work.

EXPERIENCE
Experience in the provision of Social Work services to culturally diverse populations.
Experience providing Social Work services in community mental health, medical, acute or forensic settings.
Experience providing crisis intervention services.
Experience establishing, developing and managing productive and cooperative partnerships with community-based services (i.e., community capacity building).
Experience providing Social Work services to vulnerable populations (e.g., cognitively impaired/brain-injured, geriatric, adults who are disadvantaged or in conflict with the law, Indigenous peoples, etc).

KNOWLEDGE
Knowledge of types of mental disorders and effective interventions for adults with mental disorders
Knowledge of the principles and usages of cognitive-behavioural therapies.
