Duties
Duties of the position includes, but are not limited to:
📝 Plan, organize, and oversee the delivery of technical housing services for capital asset repair, maintenance, and betterment projects.
👨🏻‍💼 Provide technical leadership, issue resolution, and risk based recommendations to support housing inspections, investigations, assessments, and maintenance activities.
👷🏼 Act as a subject matter expert by providing technical and advisory input to corporate processes, asset management initiatives, and operational reporting.
👥 Build and maintain strong working relationships with service providers, partners, stakeholders, and internal technical communities to resolve complex issues.
📝 Ensure compliance through quality assurance, monitoring, and guidance on technical standards, regulatory requirements, health and safety, and environmental policies.
👨🏻‍🏫 Supervise, train, and develop technical services staff while contributing to continuous improvement of policies, procedures, processes, and tools.

As a Special Operating Agency reporting to the Department of National Defence (DND),CFHA contributes to the quality of life of CAF members and their families through the provision of housing services, and through the responsible and sustainable management of the Department’s housing infrastructure. We are a team of 380 federal public servants who work hard to meet the needs of the Canadian Armed Forces families living in DND housing. We have close to 230 employees at our Housing Services Centers across Canada and 150 employees at our Head Office in Ottawa.
CFHA Gagetown is a dynamic team of 20 full-time employees. We work together to provide housing services to over 1400 Canadian Forces families. Intent of the process
The immediate need is to staff one Bilingual imperative CBC/CBC position on an indeterminate (permanent) basis at the CFHA Gagetown Office.
A pool of qualified or partially qualified candidates may be created to staff similar positions with various tenures and language requirements at Housing Services Center Gagetown.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
• Recent and acceptable driver’s abstract.
• Valid, unrestricted driver’s licence holding a qualification (class) equivalent to the DND vehicle to be operated.
• Eligibility and willingness to obtain the DND 404 military driver's licence.
• Utilizing necessary equipment and clothing in compliance with safety regulations.
• Strict adherence to the Department of National Defence and Canadian Forces Code of Values and Ethics, Values and Ethics Code for the Public Sector, Directive on Conflict of Interest, and Defence Administrative Orders and Directives (DAOD) 7021-1, Conflict of Interest.

Operational Requirements

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
• Willing and able to travel.
• Willing and able to work overtime on an occasional basis.
• Willing and able to meet the occasional requirement to work in confined areas such as crawl spaces or at heights such as second storey roofs.

ASSET - OCCUPATIONAL CERTIFICATION:
• AOC1. Possession of a valid journeyman's certificate in a major residential building trade and/or certification as an engineering technologist or technician.
• AOC2. Interprovincial Red Seal Certification as a Carpenter, Electrician, Plumber or Gasfitter.
ASSET - EXPERIENCE:
