About the position

Duties
In this role, you will work closely with community health teams to provide clinical guidance, support program development, and respond to emerging health needs, including but not limited to wildfire and flood response. Your day may include mentoring nurses, assisting with case or outbreak management, delivering education sessions, collaborating with leadership and partners, and supporting quality improvement initiatives. You will also support and participate in door-to-door health service outreach, helping to increase access to care and connect directly with community members. Work is dynamic and community-driven, with a strong focus on relationship-building, adaptability, and advancing safe, culturally appropriate care in rural and remote settings.
This position involves regular travel (approximately 50–75% of the time), which may include day travel within local communities or extended stays in rural and remote communities, depending on service needs.
Intent of the process
A pool of partially or fully qualified candidates may be established to staff similar or identical positions at Indigenous Services Canada (ISC) in Alberta only with various linguistic profiles and/or requirements as well as tenures (acting, assignment/secondment, deployment, term and/or indeterminate) and/or security clearance (reliability or secret), which may vary according to the position being staffed.
Successful placement in a pool does not guarantee an offer of employment.
Please note that this process will ONLY be used to staff positions in Alberta.
Applicants are encouraged to apply ONLY if they are able to relocate to Alberta.
