Intent of the process
The purpose of this process is to staff a permanent position of Material Acquisition and Support Supervisor Specilaist or Material Acquisition and Support Specilaist at each location: Île de Montréal (Quebec), Saint-Jean (Quebec), Valcartier (Quebec), and Bagotville (Quebec).
A pool of partially or fully qualified candidates may be established through this process and could be used to fill other identical positions within the Department of National Defence.

REQUIRED CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT :
▶Must be able to overtime if necessary.
▶Must agree to take mandatory training required by the organization.
▶Be able and willing to present a satisfactory SAAQ file or the Canadian provincial or territorial equivalent.
▶Hold a valid class 5 driver's license from the province of Quebec or the equivalent issued by another Canadian province or territory.
▶Strict adherence to the Department of National Defence and Canadian Forces Code of Values and Ethics, Values and Ethics Code for the Public Sector, Directive on Conflict of Interest, and Defence Administrative Orders and Directives (DAOD) 7021-1, Conflict of Interest.

Operational Requirements

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS :
▶The person must be available and agree to work overtime if necessary.
▶The person must be available and willing to travel outside the headquarters area as part of their duties.
▶Be able to obtain a National Defence Driver's License (DND404).

▶EX1. Relevant experience in developing and implementing procurement strategies, including the full lifecycle of contracts for goods and services.
▶EX2. Relevant experience in analyzing procurement needs and requirements, and in providing advice to clients.
▶EX3. Experience in preparing, reviewing, and managing procurement documents, formulating recommendations for approval, and overseeing procurement processes.
▶EX4. Experience in supporting the management of complex and high-value purchases, including preparing documentation for an external contracting entity.
▶EX5. Experience in developing, analyzing, or updating policies, guidelines, procedures, or reports related to the management of procurement, materials, or financial resources.
▶EX6. Experience supervising staff.
