Who can apply
To be eligible, you must be: a full-time secondary or post-secondary student in an accredited institution; currently recognized as having full-time student status by the academic institution in which you are presently enrolled; returning to full-time studies in the next academic term; and be at least 14 years of age.
Have legal status to work in Canada. Please indicate in your application the reason for which you are entitled to work in Canada: Canadian Citizenship, permanent resident status or work permit.

About the position

Duties
SU - 01 - Student Visitor Services
Greets visitors, collects fees, provides information to the public on park programs and services; Assists with programming at park field station; Cleans visitor facilities including washrooms and reception areas.
SU - 02 – External Relations Student
Complete review of Wood Buffalo photo library and media compliance; Information Management.
SU – 03 Human Resources Student
Administrative duties and Information management.
SU - 04 - Resource Conservation Student
Research Parks Canada data management policies and procedures; Develop a file storage system; Digitize files; File Management and Training.
Work environment
This is a place of opportunity – to learn new skills, to try things you’ve maybe never done before, and to experience surreal landscapes.
You’ll be working for Wood Buffalo National Park, which is the largest national park in Canada, the world’s largest dark-sky preserve, and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The park is a cultural landscape for Cree, Dene, and Métis peoples of the region. The park works with eleven Indigenous communities, who continue to use the land for activities like hunting, trapping, fishing, and medicinal plant and berry picking.

Operational Requirements

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
The position may require the incumbent to:
• Wear a Parks Canada uniform as per the uniform policy;
• Work irregular hours, overtime, weekends and/or statutory holidays and provincial/territorial holidays, when required.

EDUCATION:
RESOURCE CONSERVATION STUDENT ONLY
Minimum completion of year 2 of Undergraduate degree in Library Studies
All other streams: Secondary or post-secondary student.
