About the position
Duties
Heritage Presenters provide to visitors to Parks Canada Historic Sites, cultural heritage animation and interpretation services in both official languages. Their tasks are diverse: welcoming visitors, guided tours, entertainment in period costume, collecting entrance fees, etc.
Intent of the process
This process could be used to create a list of qualified candidates to staff similar positions with different employee status, security level or language requirements, in these same locations or elsewhere in the
country.

*** The purpose of this selection process is to fill positions located at the following 2 National Historic Sites:
- Manoir Papineau National Historic Site (Montebello)
- Obadjiwan-Fort Témiscamingue National Historic Site (Duhamel-Ouest)

Possess a valid Class 5 driver’s license.
Operational Requirements
- Need to stand and move around on foot frequently throughout the day across the entire site and within the buildings, particularly when interacting with visitors.
- Agree to work shifts, weekends, and statutory holidays.
- Agree to wear the Parks Canada uniform in accordance with the Dress Policy.
- Agree to wear period costume as required.
- Willingness to work on a variety of terrain and in varying weather conditions.
- Necessity to perform certain physical tasks as required by the position (e.g., lifting loads of less than 25 kg).

- College level or an acceptable combination of education, training and experience in a field related to the position.

- Experience in the museum or tourism sector.
- Experience in presenting activities in a learning environment (e.g., teaching, group facilitating/coaching, etc.).
