About the position

Duties
The Aircraft Metals Technician is responsible for the fabrication, modification, and maintenance of aircraft components and related equipment. This role involves working with a variety of metalworking machinery and welding processes, including oxy-acetylene, TIG, and electric-arc welding. The Aircraft Metals Technician will also interpret technical drawings and specifications, estimate materials and labor, and conduct preventive maintenance on equipment. Additional duties involve providing technical documentation, guidance, and solutions for both aircraft and non-aircraft related projects.

♦ Must be willing and able to work overtime on occasion.
♦ Must be willing and able to travel.
♦ Must be willing and able to work outdoors and in adverse weather conditions for extended periods of time.
♦ Must be willing and able to perform a variety of physically demanding tasks including, but not limited to, lifting heavy items, enter confined spaces, climb ladders, erect scaffolds, work on elevated devices, crouching and/or kneeling, work at heights
♦ Must be willing and able to wear all appropriate Personal Protective Equipment.
