About the position

We are looking to hire outgoing, responsible, team focused Visitor Services Attendants to work at the Park entrances, Campgrounds and the Visitor Information Centre in Prince Albert National Park.
Working as part of the Visitor Services Attendant team, you will be responsible for:
- Welcoming visitors into the park and provide visitor services and revenue collection at the various locations.
- Providing comprehensive information to the visiting public on a wide variety of topics including but not limited to: entry fees and permits, camping, trails, outdoor recreation, points of interest, safety and prevention, backcountry travel and park regulations and policies.
Intent of the process
This is an anticipatory process for various tenures for the 2026-2027 operating season which may include full and part-time opportunities.

Conditions of employment
Security Screening: Obtain and maintain Reliability Status Clearance.
Obtain and maintain valid class 5 license.
Operational Requirements
Willingness to wear a Parks Canada uniform and prescribed protective equipment.
Willingness to work and/or travel in varied terrain, weather conditions, isolated locations and by various means of transportation.
Willingness to work shift-work between 6:45 AM and 10:30 PM, and/or weekends, and/or statutory holidays and provincial/territorial holidays as scheduled by your supervisor.
Willingness to perform duties in all visitor services locations throughout Prince Albert National Park.
The position requires the incumbent to:
Work alone with little to no supervision.
Have reliable transportation to get to and from workplace.

EDUCATION :
A secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training and experience or traditional knowledge relevant to position.

EXPERIENCE:
Experience in handling cash, operating point of sales, sales reports and bank deposits.
Experience working in visitor services or hospitality.
Experience working collaboratively in a small team environment.
Experience in conflict resolution.
Experience using computer software (i.e Microsoft Office Suite, word processing, spreadsheets and email).
KNOWLEDGE:
Knowledge of the visitor services, programs and operations of Prince Albert National Park;
Knowledge of natural & cultural heritage specific to Prince Albert National Park.
