Employment tenure
Employment dates range from May 2026 to early September 2026 (possible part-time employment from September 2026 to October 2026). You must be available to work throughout all the summer season to be selected for a student position.
Salary
$17.36 to $27.68 per hour - Salary to be determined based on the level of education required by the student employment categories and the completed current academic level.
Level
SU-01 - Full-time opportunities. 37.5 hours or 40 hours a week depending on the position.
Who can apply
Persons are eligible for student employment with Parks Canada provided they are:
- Registered as a full time or part-time secondary or post secondary student in an accredited academic program; or
- Participating in adult education and retraining programs at the secondary level, operated under the authority of an accredited academic institution, and;
- Meet the minimum age requirement to work in the province or territory where the job is located as well as to any specific age student program requirements. 16 years-old at the time of hire, this is the minimum age to work in New Brunswick;
- Have legal status to work in Canada.

About the position

Duties
Delivers interpretive presentations, programs and activities to provide visitors to Kouchibouguac National Park with opportunities to discover, appreciate, learn about and enjoy the park and its natural and cultural resources and understand its significance to Canada.
Work environment
Parks Canada is a federal government agency responsible for the protection and presentation of Canada’s outstanding natural and cultural resources through a system of national parks, national marine conservation areas and national historic sites in all regions of Canada.
Intent of the process
The intent of this process is to hire students for the summer 2026 at Kouchibouguac National Park (New Brunswick).

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:

Operational Requirements

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Willingness to work irregular hours, overtime, weekends and/or statutory holidays and provincial/ territorial holidays;
- Willingness to work in variable weather conditions;
- Willingness to wear a Parks Canada uniform and prescribed protective equipment;
- Possession of a valid First Aid and CPR certification;
- Possession of a valid Driver's license;
- Perform certain physical tasks as per the job requirements (e.g. lifting minimum of 20 lbs / 10 kgs).
