About the position
Duties
Aids in the delivery of partner-led interpretive presentations, programs and activities to provide visitors to Carleton Martello Tower with opportunities to discover, appreciate, learn about and enjoy the site and its natural and cultural resources and understand its significance to Canada.

Intent of the process
The intent of this process is to hire students for the summer 2026. The exact number of positions available is to be determined.

• You will be required to possess and maintain a valid Class 5 driver’s license or equivalent.
• You must be willing to work overtime.
• You will be required to work shiftwork, and/or weekends, and/or statutory holidays and/or provincial/territorial holidays as scheduled by your supervisor. Compensation will be as prescribed in the Terms and Conditions of Employment applicable to you.
• You must be willing to work and travel in a variety of terrains and weather conditions in the performance of your duties.
• You will be required to work in adverse weather conditions.
• You are required to wear a uniform, which is provided, while performing your duties.

EDUCATION:
Please confirm that you meet these eligibility factors:
- registered as a full time or part-time secondary or post-secondary student in an accredited academic program; or
- participating in adult education and retraining programs at the secondary level, operated under the authority of an accredited academic institution.

EXPERIENCE:
• Experience in public speaking
• Experience in heritage interpretation, theatre/performing arts, story-telling
• Experience in handling cash and operating a point of sale system
