Duties

Major Case Management Operational Service Centre (MCMOSC)

What We Do

The Major Case Management Operational Service Centre (MCMOSC) is a unit of Civilian Members and Public Service Employees who work with operational units across federal and provincial business lines. Alberta (“K” Division) MCMOSC employees provide support to some of the RCMP’s most serious, high risk, complex and high profile investigations. Major Case Management Operational Service Centre’s primary service is to support human and technical resources required for the management of information relating to major case investigations.

Work environment

Although flexible work arrangements (variable work week, flexible start and end times) may be considered, candidates are expected to work in the office on a full-time basis.

Intent of the process

This is an anticipatory staffing process designed to create a pool of qualified candidates for appointments on an indeterminate and term basis. This pool of qualified candidates may be used to appoint indeterminate and term employees in similar positions.

This pool may also be used to identify candidates interested in a casual contract.

Should a Civilian Member (CM) be found qualified and selected for appointment, the appointment will not result in a change of status to the Public Service (PS) category for the CM. Information regarding the CM appointment will be sent to all applicable candidates who are within the area of selection and participated in the advertised process.
