The Correctional Service of Canada (CSC) is the federal government agency responsible for administering sentences of a term of two years or more, as imposed by the courts. CSC is responsible for managing institutions of various security levels and supervising offenders under conditional release in the community.

EDUCATION:
➤ A secondary school diploma* or a satisfactory score on the Public Service Commission test approved as an alternative to a secondary school diploma or successful completion of a provincially / territorially approved secondary school equivalency test, or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
*The term “secondary diploma” refers to high school as established by educational authorities.
EXPERIENCE:
➤ Experience using word processing software, spreadsheet software and an email platform

➤ Experience in at least three of the following:
o Experience in shipping and receiving
o Experience in Material management

o Experience in commercial or general housekeeping techniques including the operation and maintenance of housekeeping equipment such as automatic floor scrubbers, carpet cleaners, floor polishers, burnishers, etc.
o Experience in a point-of-sale system (Cashiering)
ASSET QUALIFICATIONS
OCCUPATIONAL CERTIFICATION:
➤ Possession of a current transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) certificate
➤ Possession of a valid Workplace Hazardous Material Information System (WHMIS) certificate
➤ Possession of a valid First aid and CPR certificate
EXPERIENCE:
➤ Experience in supervising, evaluating and motivating individuals
➤ Experience in ordering, warehousing and dispensing services and commodities such as; clothing, bedding, linens, personal grooming items, household and janitorial supplies, furnishings and housekeeping equipment.
➤ Experience in operation of a commercial laundry (washers, dryers, clothing presses)
➤ Experience in commercial sewing equipment
➤ Experience in the proper techniques and methods to clean up bodily fluids, biohazard spills, or other hazardous materials
➤ Experience working for Correctional Service of Canada

➤ Must be willing and able to lift, carry and shelve goods weighing up to 20 kg repeatedly throughout the day.
