A university degree in Geographic Information System (GIS), Geomatics, Geography
OR
A bachelor’s degree in any field along with a diploma or certificate in GIS.
Note: The educational program must be recognized in Canada, and you must be able to provide proof of education credentials. Students graduating within the next twelve months are eligible to apply.
*Recent experience performing spatial analysis with desktop GIS applications, preferably ArcGIS Pro.
*Recent experience using web GIS platforms like ESRI’s Portal, for:
Creating and sharing spatial data.
Creating web map applications like dashboards and story maps.
Experience applying geography, spatial analysis, and cartography knowledge on different issues.
Note: For the purposes of this hiring process, “recent” is defined as experience having normally been acquired within the last five years.
Assets are “nice-to-have” expertise and skills we’re interested in. If you have them, they may be used to identify which team you could best complement, or they may be invoked as a volume management strategy.

Experience leveraging geo-statistic and performing spatio-temporal analysis.
Experience with ArcGIS Model Builder or basic python or GeoTime.
Experience identifying training needs, developing training material and delivering training.
Experience with thorough analytical workflows, attention to detail, thirst for continual learning, and excellence for costumer services.
Experience in troubleshooting and resolving complex cartographic, GIS and analysis-related issues.
Experience in graphic design.
Overtime and standby duty may be required.
