A Carpenter at the Department of National Defence (DND) in Halifax is responsible for constructing, repairing, and maintaining wooden structures and fixtures across various DND facilities, including buildings, docks, and hangars. Their duties include framing, drywall installation, cabinetry, and finishing work, as well as performing routine inspections and responding to urgent maintenance requests. They collaborate with other trades on multidisciplinary projects, ensure compliance with building codes and safety regulations, and operate a range of hand and power tools.
