*** The purpose of this selection process is to fill positions located at the following 8 National Historic Sites:

- Fort Lennox National Historic Site (St-Paul-de-l’île-aux-noix)
- Fur Trade at Lachine National Historic Site (Montréal, Lachine Borough)
- Sir George-Étienne Cartier National Historic Site (Montréal)
- Manoir Papineau National Historic Site (Montebello)
- Forges du Saint-Maurice National Historic Site (Trois-Rivières)
- Louis S.St-Laurent National Historic Site (Compton)
- Obadjiwan-Fort Témiscamingue National Historic Site (Ville-Marie)

Duties

Heritage Presenters provide to visitors to Parks Canada Historic Sites, cultural heritage animation and interpretation services in both official languages. Their tasks are diverse: welcoming visitors, guided tours, entertainment in period costume, collecting entrance fees, etc.

EDUCATION

- College level or an acceptable combination of education, training and experience in a field related to the position.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE

- Significant experience in customer services and/or animation.

- Experience in the museum or tourism sector.

- Experience in presenting activities in a learning environment (e.g., teaching, group facilitating/coaching, etc.).

- General knowledge of the history of Québec and Canada.

Conditions of employment

Reliability Status security clearance

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

- Agree to work shifts, weekends, and statutory holidays.
- Agree to wear the Parks Canada uniform in accordance with the Dress Policy, and/or period costume as required.
- Willingness to work on a variety of terrain and in varying weather conditions.
- Necessity of standing up for long periods of time.
- Necessity to perform certain physical tasks as required by the position (e.g., lifting loads of less than 25 kg).
- For some locations, have a valid Class 5 driver's license.
