Intent of the process

Should a Civilian Member (CM) be found qualified and selected for appointment, the appointment will not result in a change of status to the Public Service (PS) category for the CM. Information regarding the CM appointment will be sent to all applicable candidates who are within the area of selection and participated in the advertised process.

Should a Public Service (PS) employee be found qualified and selected for appointment, notification regarding the PS appointment will be posted accordingly on www.jobs.gc.ca.

Education

A secondary school diploma or employer-approved alternatives (see Note 1).

Note:
The employer-approved alternatives to a secondary school diploma are:
1) A satisfactory score on the Public Service Commission test approved as an alternative to a secondary school diploma; or
2) An acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Degree equivalency

Experience

1)Experience case managing victim service files in support of operational policing.
2)Experience delivering programs to the general public.
3)Recent* experience working and collaborating with community partners and stakeholders.
4)Experience analyzing information, situations, emerging issues and finding solutions.

*Recent means within the past five years.

Preference

Preference will be given to veterans first and then to Canadian citizens and permanent residents, with the exception of a job located in Nunavut, where Nunavut Inuit will be appointed first.
