The RCMP Operational Coordination Centre (ROCC) is an innovative centre with an expanded mandate. It acts as the central point of emergency management process for RCMP Divisions, the broader Government of Canada and international partners. It is a secure, integrated command and control centre.
The ROCC operates 24/7 365 days of the year to monitor, support and coordinate the RCMP's official response to emergencies, law enforcement operations, major events, tips from the public and other crisis that could affect the safety or well-being of Canadians.
Our team is located at 73 Leikin Drive in Ottawa, Ontario (Barrhaven), in a modern building with plenty of free parking, convenient access to bus routes immediately outside of the building, free use of a gym, and a cafeteria onsite.
The immediate need is to staff five (5) positions on a term or indeterminate basis, with bilingual linguistic profiles BBB/BBB and an RCMP Top Secret Security Clearance.
The intent of the process is to establish a pool of qualified applicants for the training program.
The selected qualified candidates will be appointed determinately (term) or indeterminately (permanent) at the PO-TCO-01 group and level. Only those who successfully complete the training program* may be appointed determinately (term) or indeterminately (permanent) at the PO-TCO-02 group and level (salary: $70,688 to $86,007).
*Successful completion of classroom training, field coaching, simulation exams and proficiency evaluations for call-taking and dispatching.

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS
EXPERIENCE IN:
• Call-taking or dispatching in a police agency
• Experience providing advice or services to the public
• Experience working in an environment that requires multitasking*
*Multitasking is defined as the performance of multiple tasks at one time.
OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Travel (e.g. for the purposes of attending mandatory training, or testifying in a court of law)
