Intent of the process

The intent of this process is to immediately fill one (1) position in the Sudbury area with an English Essential language profile.

A pool of partially and/or fully qualified candidates can be established and used to fill similar positions at this group and level. This process may be used for a variety of positions, security requirements, language requirements, conditions of employment and tenures (including, but not limited to, indeterminate appointments, term appointments, internal assignments, secondments, deployments, acting appointments, casual employment) within the Federal Economic Development Agency for Northern Ontario.

Education
Graduation from a two-year program of study from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in computer science, information technology, information management or another specialty relevant to the position to be staffed.

Degree equivalency

Experience
E1 – Experience eliciting, analyzing and documenting business or system requirements to support information management (IM)* technology projects or initiatives.

*Information Management is a discipline that directs and supports effective and efficient management of information and data in an organization, from planning and systems development to disposal or long-term preservation.

E2 – Experience with testing and quality assurance activities.

E3 – Experience working with SharePoint, SharePoint forms and power automate.

E4 - Experience conducting user research and presenting findings and applying solutions.

Knowledge
E1 – Knowledge of trends, processes, challenges and opportunities related to information management (IM) and information technology.

Preference

Preference will be given to veterans first and then to Canadian citizens and permanent residents, with the exception of a job located in Nunavut, where Nunavut Inuit will be appointed first.
