Intent of the process

The intention of this process is to immediately fill one (1) position in (North Bay (Ontario), Sault Ste. Marie (Ontario), Sudbury (Ontario), Thunder Bay (Ontario), Timmins (Ontario) or Kenora (Ontario)) with a linguistic profile of bilingual imperative BBB/BBB.

The successful candidate will be required to relocate to one of the above regions as part of the job requirements if they are not already located there.

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

Education
ED1: Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in a field relevant to the duties of the position.

Degree equivalency

Experience:
E1: Experience in developing and providing strategic advice on complex* matters.

E2:Experience in managing budgets and/or oversight of financial resources*

E3: Experience in building and nurturing effective and collaborative networks and relationships with various stakeholders (including management representatives, federal and provincial officials, private and/or public stakeholders).

E4: Experience in leading economic development projects and/or programs.

**Financial Resources: being responsible for a budget.
**Complex is defined as referring to at least one (1) of the following characteristics: addressing a complex financial / legal challenge, which may have included review of legislation or policy requirements; aligning multiple partners or stakeholders interests; addressing a project challenge that would have posed a significant impact or economic outcome for a region / community / organization

Asset Education:
AE1: A recognized professional accounting designation in good standing (e.g. Chartered Professional Accountants – CPA; or Aboriginal Financial Officers Association - AFOA).

Degree equivalency

Asset Experience:
AEX2- Experience working with indigenous communities, businesses and stakeholders.

AEX3: Knowledge of practices of program administration and management

AEX4:Knowledge of economic challenges in Northern Ontario and government priorities and their potential impact on the Region.
