Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) manages one of the largest and most diverse real property portfolios in the country and is the Government of Canada’s real property specialist. We are actively looking for motivated and enthusiastic senior architects and/or planners with experience in project management who wish to work in a professional and dynamic organization.
The incumbent’s main duties are:
- Manage a project management team for project planning, design and/or delivery;
- Manage and/or support project design and execution from the planning phase to construction and evaluation;
- Provide strategic real property advice to clients, including cost-benefit analysis;
- Administration of the contract, from project definition to construction and commissioning stages;
- Perform quality assurance checks and examinations;
- Manage and/or support the development of management plans, concepts, risk and contingency plans, cost estimates and project criteria.

Graduation with a degree in architecture from a recognized post-secondary institution
OR
Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in landscape architecture or in urban planning, rural planning, community planning or some other specialty relevant to landscape architect and town planner positions (See note 1).

1. The courses for the specialization must be acceptable and must have been taken at a recognized post-secondary institution, but not necessarily within a degree program in the required specialization.

1. Significant* experience in leading complex architectural, landscape, urban planning or real property projects or programs of work with multiple diverse stakeholders in either the private or public sector.
2. Significant* experience in directly participating in the development of, or managing complex procurement processes and contracts for architectural, landscape, urban planning or construction related services.
3. Significant* experience in providing strategic advice and briefings to clients, stakeholders and senior management.
4. Moderate** experience in managing human and financial resources.
*Significant is defined as the depth, breadth and scope of experience managing a broad range of various complex activities as a key part of your work for approximately ten (10) years. Candidates must clearly demonstrate their roles and responsibilities pertaining to this experience.
