Parks Canada’s Protected Area Establishment Branch is looking for a Program /Policy Officer III to support the creation of new protected areas across Canada.
As part of the National Park Establishment Team you will work with project managers, Indigenous government and organizations, provincial and territorial governments and stakeholders towards the establishment of new national parks. You will provide research and analytical services and support, develop tools and products, and coordinate and deliver information and services to support the development, delivery and management of the National Park Establishment process.
Parks Canada is a federal government agency responsible for the protection and presentation of Canada’s natural and cultural resources through a system of national parks, national marine conservation areas and national historic sites in all regions of Canada.
You will work in either Whitehorse, YT or Inuvik, NT with a geographically dispersed team that share the same passion for the protection and conservation of nationally significant areas. Your workspace will be shared with Parks Canada team members responsible for the administration and management of national parks and historic sites across the Northwest Territories, Yukon and northern BC.
