Our team is located at 73 Leikin Drive in Ottawa, Ontario (Barrhaven), in a modern building with plenty of free parking, convenient access to bus routes immediately outside of the building, free use of a gym, and a cafeteria onsite.

The position requires full-time presence to the office (5 days a week), and remote work is not possible.

Intent of the process

The anticipatory need is to staff one (1) position on an indeterminate basis, with a linguistic profile of Bilingual Imperative (CBC/CBC) and a Top Secret security clearance.

A pool of candidates may be established and may be used to staff similar positions within the RCMP in the National Capital Region on an indeterminate or specified period (including term, acting, or assignment) basis, with various linguistic profiles and various RCMP security clearances.

Should a Civilian Member (CM) be found qualified and selected for appointment, the appointment will not result in a change of status to the Public Service (PS) category for the CM. Information regarding the CM appointment will be sent to all applicable candidates who are within the area of selection and participated in the advertised process.

Should a Public Service (PS) employee be found qualified and selected for appointment, notification regarding the PS appointment will be posted accordingly on www.jobs.gc.ca.

Education:
A secondary school diploma; and
Completion of an acceptable training program* in electronics technology or the employer-approved alternative.

The employer-approved alternative is as follows:
An acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

*Note: Normally, an acceptable training program in electronics technology involves the completion of two to three years of post-secondary study in this subject.

Degree equivalency

Experience:
EX1: *Recent experience in the audio-video field.
EX2: Experience in working with various Government of Canada standard software programs, such as, but not limited to, Outlook, Word, Excel, and Adobe.
EX3: Experience in customer service.

*” Recent” is defined as experience gained within the last two (2) years.
