HOW THIS INVENTORY WORKS
***************************
When you apply to this process, you are not applying to a specific position, but to an inventory in the event that positions become available. As positions become available, candidates who meet the qualifications may be contacted for evaluation.

What makes inventories different from other job postings? You only apply once, but you may be considered for several jobs. Don't worry, even if you are not selected for a position, your application remains in the inventory and can be selected again throughout the lifespan of the inventory. The inventory will be updated every 45 days. You will receive an email with instructions on how to update your application if necessary, or to withdraw your application.

We strongly encourage you to demonstrate how you meet the Asset Experience (i.e. AEX1 - AEX3) at the time of your application. Depending on the number of applicants, strategies such as random selection, a top-down approach, and/or setting passing scores to determine who will continue in the staffing process may be used to manage the volume of applications. Please note that while you may achieve the established pass mark for any of the assessments used in this staffing process, management may decide to use a higher pass mark.

Since management may decide to view job applications at any time, it is best to submit your application as soon as possible.

***************************
HOW TO APPLY
***************************
You will fill out an online form describing your profile. Please have your current CV available to attach to your application. Also, if you have valid Second Language Evaluation (SLE) results, please provide them to us along with their expiry dates.

Your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience criteria (including Asset Experience - i.e. AEX1 to AEX3 - if you meet them). You must provide concrete examples that clearly illustrate that you meet each of the qualifications. It is not enough to state that you have the required qualifications, or to list your current responsibilities. The CV can be used as a secondary source to validate the qualifications described. However, a statement such as "please see my attached resume" is not acceptable, and may result in your application being rejected. All necessary information must be provided or your application may be rejected.

Job applications should be submitted through the Public Service Resourcing System (via the jobs.gc.ca site). Following are some of the benefits associated with applying on-line.

- Applicants can create a profile and a resume that can be used when applying for other processes without having to recreate a new application each time.
- Applicants can modify their application/resume at any time BEFORE the closing date indicated on the job advertisement.
- Applicants can verify the status of their applications, at any time.
- Applicants can be notified electronically of tests or interviews and results.
- For some jobs, applicants will find important information, namely the job questionnaire and a complete statement of merit criteria that are only available when applying on-line.

To submit an application on-line, please select the button "Apply Online" below.

Persons who are unable to apply on-line must contact the person listed below prior to the closing date.

ASSESSMENT
***************************
You may be assessed using a variety of assessment tools, such as, but not limited to: written exams, interviews, reference checks, recent and past performance evaluations, self-assessments, candidate achievement record, etc.

The Written Exercise Question will be used to evaluate:
Ability to communicate effectively in writing;
Ability to brief non-technical clients on technical issues.

Please note that your overall conduct and communications, including email correspondence, throughout the entire process may be used in the assessment of qualifications.
